Currently, I’m watching Ron Howard’s movie version of JD Vance‘s best-selling book, “Hillbilly Elegy” and my biggest take away - by far - is this: "Why is Vance not be the world’s, biggest supporter of government-sponsored, universal healthcare after he watched his mother over the course of 18 years - and in the midst of ongoing medical crises - being refused medical care she desperately needed... at one point being thrown out of her hospital bed for lack of medical insurance. It is unfathomable to me that Vance did not become the world's most passionate champion of Universal (government-sponsored) Healthcare like every other civilized country on the face of the earth. This failure - perhaps indicative of a personality flaw - is as inscrutable as his transition from a Never Trumper to a lockstep lickspittle.

In the first 24 hours of her candidacy, Kamala Harris has taken in $250,000,000.00 dollars ( aka a quarter of a billion dollars).
Kamala will tear into delusional old man on abortion, birth control and his being a convicted felon (34 times over, not to mention a sexual abuse conviction) who can only hope to avoid years behind bars (for his pending court cases) by winning the presidency, and then giving himself a plenary indulgence.
Be that as it may, I think Kamala being a black woman can so fire up America's Afro-American population that the solidarity of black women alone can bring out enouugh Democratic votes to put her over the top in what could be a Democratic landslide. (See electoral college map below.)
Large black populations in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and North Carolina could spell the difference between narrow Republican wins and resounding Democratic victories.
Who knows? It might even be time for American black women to "pull a Lysistrata" to get black men "in line."
