"The Lincoln Project" Takes On Trump's Laughably Nonexistent Health Care Plan

"The Lincoln Project Takes On Trump's Laughably Nonexistent Health Care Plan"
(The Lincoln Project is comprised entirely of Republicans and former Republicans.)

Alan: This Lincoln Project ad (above) is brilliant.

If Trump told each of these lies, one at a time, and at intervals of a couple months, each lie in isolation would sound completely plausible. To his cultists, these lies would sound even laudable.

But when Trump's lies are stacked up like Yertle's Turtles (as they are here in this Lincoln Project ad), Orange Toddler is seen as a brazen liar, so gifted at propegating falsehood that it is soon apparent that Malignant Messiah is the only human being who could "put on a clinic for Satan."

And although Trump neither built the wall, nor got Mexico to pay for it, Satan would pay through the nose to attend Shitstorm's "Master Class."

Consider this true story from my early adulthood.

I grew up with Italian Americans.

Recently, friend Frances told me about a guy in “the old neighborhood” - a pathological liar - who was so goddamn good at lying that even though she knew he was nothing but a small-time punk mobster, she said you would listen to his denial of the most recent accusation and not only swear he was telling God’s Truth but — while the immediacy of “the spell” lasted — she was absolutely convinced the world was “out to get him.”

These people exist.

There are millions of them, all across America.

We would do well to keep in mind the fact of widespread psychopathy.

So...

Without leading the witness…

When we contemplate the word “psychopath,” who comes to mind?

The word "charlatan" derives from a Latin root meaning "to chat, to babble" - literally a "fast talker." https://www.etymonline.com/word/charlatan
