Note that NOT ONE REPUBICAN member of congress (with the arguable expections of Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger) came close to denouncing the fascist liar who, if elected in 2024, will put an end to American Democracy (such as it is), and The American Experiment.
I know a few Republicans who now admit -- at least in private -- that they think Trump is unspeakably dangerous. But these same people think it is inappropriate for me to shout this egregious fact from the rooftops.
What are they waiting for?
Currently, we are sleepwalking into dictatorship, and the whole goddamned Republican Party (with the two forementioned expections) think it's "bad form" to try to wake them up. (Speaking of which... why are Mitt Romney, along with Jeb and George W. Bush not throwing all their weight behind Kamala, actually getting out on the campaign trail, stumping for her?)
Even if Harris is elected and leads the country into another Great Depression (which is highly unlikely given the staggering new heights now being achieved by the stock market), it would be well worth another depression if Kamala achieved NOTHING MORE in her campaign than to focus Trump as a cruel, vengeful, solipsistic, compulsive liar -- not to mention multiply convicted felon with a bevy of "sedition/treason" indictments waiting to be adjudicated -- who is "in it for himeself, and only himself."
