Currently, there are fewer abortions per capita than there were PRIOR to Roe v. Wade.
FACT: "Prohibition" did not prove to be the solution simpleminded moralists predicted.
The situation is not black and white and social, political, medical and statistical data from around the world indicate a clear possibility that the abortion rate in the United States, as well as the absolute number of abortions, could very well increase if Roe v. Wade is overturned.
You are no different from women of the Temperance Movement in the early part of the 20th century who would SWEAR BEFORE GOD that if Prohibition was enacted, the evils of "drink" would disappear.
Well, those evils didn't disappear.
In fact, they were compounded by new evils, not least of which was spread and deepening of organized crime so that many parts of America became indistinguishable from those parts of Italy where the Mafia and Cosa Nostra ruled.
Note well.
Prohibition, which began in 1920, was in effect for a little over a decade before the same states that clamored for The Volstead Act revoked it in 1933. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prohibition_in_the_United_States
