Alan: There has been much discussion of the "anonymous sources" who claim Trump called American troops "suckers" and "losers."
That Atlantic Magazine discussion of "suckers" and "losers" is impertinent to the much more important issue of "on the record" testimony by Generals Mattis, Kelly and McMaster.
"General James Mattis Describes Trump As A Near-Nazi Turncoat-Enemy Of The American People"
Personally I am not as offended by a president who calls American troops "suckers" and "losers" as I am by a wannabe Banana Republican whom Mattis describes as a threat to the constitution.
Here are Mad Dog's verbatim quotes:
"Instructions given by the military departments to our troops before the Normandy invasion reminded soldiers that "The Nazi slogan for destroying us ... was 'Divide and Conquer.' Our American answer is 'In Union there is Strength.'" We must summon that unity to surmount this crisis — confident that we are better than our politics. Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people — does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort."
"We know that we are better than the abuse of executive authority that we witnessed in Lafayette Square. We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution."
When I joined the military, some 50 years ago, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens — much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside.
And General Kelly has offered his blanket affirmation of what Mattis says.
By supporting Trump, people reveal themselves as being enemies of the United States, people who would eagerly trash the constitutional vision of The Founding Fathers.

Is this man a patriot upholding the vision of The Founding Fathers.
"Inciting violence" is a felony.
