Dear Jimbo,
Since you are the first person I knew who identified Trump's full-throttle fascism for what it was, I respect your observation during yesterday's phone call that you think His Malignancy is in such an advanced state of cognitive decline that his White House handlers won't be able to trot him out for more than another month or two.
During our conversation, I responded to your comment concerning Trump's imminent incapacity by mentioning an interview I'd recently seen in which a sharp clinical psychologist named John Gartner made the same case.
Here's that link: https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=9OtO-cypKmY (Just watched the first few minutes)
Gardner also details the MRI you mentioned: it was administered to Trump on October 12th, 6 full months after his annual physical, but was represented to the press as a "normal" follow-up to his annual physical, even though no such "follow-up" procedure has EVER been performed on a previous president.
I am well aware that "groping at straws" is a common practice among "the hopeless" and "nearly hopeless." And so, some measure of tentativeness is in order.
But Trump is damn close to being a lame duck.
Notably, the House just transitioned -- overnight -- from two months of refusal to seat Representative Adelita Grijalva because she would have been the 218th "threshold" vote to force release of The Epstein Files.
As soon as Rep. Grijalva was seated, the actual vote was 425 to 1 (no typo) to release all the files.
Then, the very next day, the Senate sent the bill to Trump's desk with a unanimous vote!?!?!
The mid-terms (as well as the next presidential election season) are "just around the corner," and Republican members of Congress seem suddenly aware that Trump can do nothing to help them; that he is, in fact, a liability now, and that they will have to help themselves.
But the pièce de résistance is Marjorie Taylor Greene, who, in effect, has launched her presidential campaign, realizing that total contradiction of Trump -- indeed, deliberately evoking Trump's wrath -- now works to her advantage.
As for Trump himself...
Yesterday, he hosted a robe-wearing, hatchet- weilding Arab murderer in (what's left of) the White House.
And all the while, Trump is still on the lookout for opportunities to disrespect anyone who even looks Latino
simultaneously getting in female reporters' faces with descriptors like "piggy."
Brennan Law Center: "Canceled Election"
You needn't dive very deep into Ken Burns' "American Revolution" to realize that Washington (like Trump) was a real estate mogul, and that he and the whole revolutionary movement were largely predicated on colonists' passionate drive to seize Indian lands west of the Alleghenies, a westward expansion prohibited by the British colonial law.
Having lived in Canada - and being a graduate of the University of Toronto - I know in my heart that Canada is a fundamentally civilized country, whereas we Americans live in The United States of Barbaria.
