I had a dream last night.
In my dream, I found myself in a large, posh “celebration space” with sit-down dinner tables appointed with proper linens, and an open bar.
Trump was in attendance, and it suddenly occurred to me that if I started chanting, “No Kings. No Fascists. No Cruelty,” at least a few others “sympathizers” would join in.
Protesters could convert these events into festive occasions, dressing up as the Statue of Liberty, or Uncle Sam, or WWII soldiers fighting Hitler — just as they did at the first "No Kings" national protest last month — carrying signs and singing songs.

If these political protests become habitual, it will piss Trump off big time, and he will do his damnedest to deploy his cadre of ever-ready goons to slam protesters into silence.
But the more His Malignancy feels obliged to shut these protests down, the more he will reveal himself (and his brownshirts) as repressive fascist thugs who refuse to allow freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.
No Kings!
No Fascists!
No Cruelty!

I am increasingly convinced that we need to respect "freedom of assembly" (a section of The First Amendment) without anything remotely akin to designated "protest zones") with the same wide-spectrum that 2nd Amendment advocates have carved out for gun ownership and gun-carrying "wherever."
Designated Protest Areas (Wikipedia): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_speech_zone#
People should be able to assemble -- anytime, anywhere!
And as long as assembled people are peaceful, there is NO proper role for preventive intervention by government authorities. (In this regard, liberals have sold their "constitutional birthright" for a "mess of pottage." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mess_of_pottage )
Think about it.
And tell a friend!

PS "Pravda vítězí" is a Czech phrase that translates to "truth prevails" or "truth wins" in English. It is the national motto of the Czech Republic.
The bedrock importance of "victorious Truth" (essentially, Gandhi's Satyagraha)- and the correlative need to "take a beating without being violent in return -- are core truths we need to embody now more than ever. We need to let the sacrifice of our "accepted suffering" serve as condemnation for our increasingly "police state" oppressors.
