(Alan: If you don't have time to read the text, at least watch Jimmy Kimmel's monologue, and riffle through memes.)

And with good reason.
He tells the substantive truth about a shameless liar who continually upchucks like a person getting ipecac by IV drip.
Of all the felony charges against Trump -- and 54 more charges remain -- "pinning hush-money-political- manipulation on Donald is like finding OJ guilty of speeding." (... Jimmy Kimmel paraphrase.)
And don't miss the priceless segment starting at the 13:20 mark, (This brilliant segment, which is worthy of inclusion in every High School American History curriculum, continues through the end of Jimmy's monologue at https://www. youtube.com/watch?v= 7sfRPosZ8CU)
This particular supercut is a sequence of video clips in which The Convicted Felon recalls one apocalyptic claim after another while Trump campaigned against Joe Biden in the 2016 presidential race.
In this exploration of Trump's mendacious apocalypticism, The Insane Man makes at least a dozen insane predictions.
After each deranged assertion by His Malignancy, there is a brief FOX News clip that TOTALLY contradicts Trump's mendacious blather.
The genius of this segment is that it renders incontrovertibly clear the fact that -- way beyond the possibility of mere hypothesis or "fake news" -- Trump is just "making sh*t up."
And he does so damn near continuously.
To use mild hyperbole: "In a sane world, Trump would occupy a padded cell."
Or at least be sent into island exile.
Which reminds that I serious about the following:
Prior to Trump's sentencing date on July 11, Judge Merchan will invite Trump's lawyers to his chambers, and tell them that their client has a choice of punishment. "The Donald" can either agree to a sentence of staying behind bars for 18 months -- which is about 1% of the prison time Judge Merchan could assign within the scope of his authorization, or he can agree to 10 years of exile on some small island were his every movement can be followed, and his cellphone and computer will both be tapped. (And no "house arrest." There will be actual bars.)
The choice is simple -- and lenient!
Choose 18 months behind bars (... 1% of Trump's maximum legal sentence)
Or 10 years in exile.
Notably, the island of St. Helena (where Napoleon was exiled) is currently available, and the Brits who rule it would make sure Trumpstays put.
St. Helena: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Saint_Helena
70% of Brits "hold an unfavorable opinion" of Trump: https://www.ipsos.com/en-uk/7- in-10-britons-hold-an- unfavourable-opinion-of- donald-trump-2024-election
Despite Trump's shameless mendacity (masterfully revealed by Jimmy Kimmel), my archetypal Trump booster friend, Karen, will not admit that the seditionist-whoremonger- career-criminal-Big-Liar- Cuckquean-Maker has ever told a lie.
In passing, I will mention that "conservative" "Christians" who put Trump in the White House -- and are doing their damndest to put him there again -- exhibit such vomitous epistemology that they are in no position to claim that their "infallible, REAL understanding of Jesus" is anything but another domain of shite (as Brits call shit when they need a euphemism).
If you have a Trump cultist in your "extended family" it is important to know that your loved one has been scammed - snake-oiled.
And the moment they acknowledge that they have willingly -- indeed eagerly -- swallowed Trump's bilge, their whole house of cards suddenly collapses.
BTW: A unanimous decision by ALL twelve jurors convicted Trump on all 34 felony counts. Consider this... If you take 6 husbands and 6 wives who have been HAPPILY married for over 50 years, you will not find any who will be in total agreement on the next dozen "life choices" they must make together. Yet, in a court of law -- with 12 jurors chosen by prosecuting attorneys and Trump's attorneys acting together -- all of them agreed, "beyond reasonable doubt" - that Trump committed 34 felonies whose bedrock purpose was to keep Mafia Don from losing the 2016 election.
Here is Jimmy's brilliant monologue. https://www. youtube.com/watch?v= 7sfRPosZ8CU
He has outdone himself this time!
I have noticed with my "conservative" "Christian" friends that they will not "share" any sensible thing I communicate whereas I do not hesitate to "share" their crackpot ramblings with everyone.
Notably, my friend Karen has unfriended me on Facebook.
She must make sure that she is not "responsible" for posting my "thoughts" even though she knows (as does everyone, I think) that they are welcome to post whatever they like on my Facebook page. Whatever ya got, just upload it.
In my mind, these manifestations of my "openness" and Karen's censorious closure are tantamount to Karen's surrender.
The situation is quite like the 20th century ideological battle between conservatism and liberalism. When the liberals won that more than century long debate, Republicans -- or more accurately Trumpistas -- stopped playing by democratic rules and decided to make a hostile takeover based on the new regime's passion for neo-fascist Christian-nationalism with right wing secular passion of Authoritarianism and Absolutism.
Like the White Christian Nationalist she is, Karen knows her "camp" lost the argument over "who tells truth" and "who tells lies" - which is tantamount to saying "who offers the better system of government," as opposed to the system of government which is BEST FOR ME and my RUGGEDLY INDIVIDUALIST pals.
Karen and her companions must believe the lies they fondle -- just like Gollum stroking his precious ring -- because, in their self-imposed benightedness -- their willing ignorance-and-deception -- they have become existentially fearful of "the light."
And the more they are threatened by the light oTruth, the more they bang their "Trump Bible."
By my lights, this is one of the 3 keenest, most-revealing insights I have come across.
Once you see God as an avenger, it becomes your "ordained" responsibility to help set things straight by participating in "godly revenge."
Every other moral standard becomes meaningless, in large part because "true believers" need "salvation insurance" like babies need mother's milk.
Add the psychological skewing of "Stockholm Syndrome," and the impact of overarching "mobster mentality," and many people feel themselves pretty much forced to ally with their oppressor.
It Fact Checks.
Here is the video of Buffett delivering this counsel at his 2024 shareholders' meeting.
Be sure to read Snopes fact check to the end
Yes, the quote as it is often circulated refers to "800 billionaires," when in fact Buffett was referring to America's 800 biggest companies, not "billionaires."
Interesting Buffett and Apple commentary.
Buffett's observation, long hidden by The Deep State -- which is, in fact, distills to The Sound Machine of Uncle Sam's Oligarchy-Kakistocracy -- may be the only political truth worth telling.
Over and over again.
Obsessively.
Just like Bernie Sanders "staying on message."
Go ahead.
Read Buffett again.
Then send Buffett's meme to everyone in your email directory.
After all, it's true.
And it's centrally meaningful.
So, why not?
And if not, why the self-censorship?
Asking for a friend....
