Biden's Presidency, The Pending Depression, The Next Election, And "Is God Just?"

 

I am -- as they say -- "guardedly optimistic." My optimism is attributable in part to always "leaving the door open" to Divine Intervention. However... at ground zero we are already in a Depression and when Wall Street's "irrational exuberance" subsides, we will all recognize that we are in a Depression.

If this realization dawns before 2024 (as is likely) citizens will vote their wallets in "the fire next time" and another right-wing fascist will be elected.

As a countervailing circumstance, I will mention Trump's apparent intention to start his own political party. If he does, the conservative vote will be dysfunctionally split and the GOP will "go the way of the Whigs"... and Trump's party will die with Trump. Looking at The Big Picture, I speculate that if God is just, the United States is about to get its karmic comeuppance. Oddly, the question then becomes: "'Should' we hope that God is merciful?" My personal reply to this question is "Yes." But it remains a valid question.
