Did Trump's Coronavirus Action, Inaction And Ineptitude Kill 124,175 People Needlessly? (Correcting A Blog Post Dated June 26, 2020)

Twelve weeks ago, South Korea and the United States
had the same number of Covid deaths.
Today, South Korea has fewer than 282 Coronavirus fatalities
while the U.S. has more than 126,000. | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Adjusting for population, South Korea has had 1605 "American equivalent" deaths.
If my math is correct (and please inform me if I'm wrong) this means COVID-19 mortality in the United States - when compared to mortality in South Korea - has added up to 91,724 needless deaths under Donald Trump's "leadership.
That is a lot of blood to have on one's hands.
To contextualize the meaning of this tally, please recall that 58,220 Americans died during two decades of war in Vietnam.
The needless blood on Trump's hands is equivalent to the entire GI death tally during the Vietnam War, plus ANOTHER 33,504 dead.
And counting...

Great Anti-Masker Cartoon

Alan: Friend M.B. Hardy, a professional statistician rechecked my  numbers (given above) and determined that I underestimated the amount of blood on Trump's hands.

Here are Marsh's calculations

282 / 51,000,000 = 5.5294117647e-6  South Korea death rate.

5.5294117647e-6 * 330,000,000 = 1,825 "South Korean equivalent" deaths in US.

126,000 - 1,825 = 124,175 needless deaths in the US.

Also...

126,000 / 330,000,000 = 3.8181818181e-4  US death rate.

3.8181818181e-4 * 51,000,000 = 19,473 "American equivalent" deaths in South Korea.

19,473 - 282 = 19,191 deaths avoided in South Korea by not copying the US.
