Quora Question: "Was Joe Biden Correct When He Said Antifa Is An Idea And Not An Organization During The First Presidential Debate In September, 2020?"

Political Cartoon U.S. Trump Portland militia
Antifa: The Historical Record
"Trump frequently accuses the far-left of inciting violence, yet right-wing extremists have killed 329 victims in the last 25 years, while antifa members haven't killed any, according to a new study"

Update: "Antifa Has Killed One Person In 25 Years. In That Same Span, Right-Wing Extremists Have Killed 329"

That’s not what Biden said. At least not all of it.

When you take away the first part of what Biden said, it changes the quote SO much that it takes on a completely different meaning.

What Biden said was:

"His own FBI director said ... antifa is an idea, not an organization,"

Biden was referring to President Donald Trump and FBI Director Chris Wray, quoting Wray's statement on Antifa.

In that, Biden slightly misquoted Wray, who, when testifying before Congress about the many investigations the FBI has done said: "It’s not a group or an organization. It’s a movement or an ideology.”

FBI director says Antifa is an ideology, not an organization

In that, yes, I will defer to that expertise of the director of the FBI.
