I am supplying the following links about Melania Trump's apparent malfeasance when applying for U.S. citizenship because I'm trying to interest a Democratic operative in resurrecting the issue of Melania's VERY dubious - and almost certainly illegal - behavior, working in the United States in the mid-1990s without a work permit, which also meant she was "taking jobs away from Americans."
Subsequently, when Mrs. Trump made application for U.S. citizenship, it appears that she hid her disqualifying behavior, in order to secure citizenship under false pretenses.
Later, she arranged for her Slovenian parents to become American citizens by the same "chain migration" mechanism that Trump rails against whenever a "chain" involves latinos or other people of color.
By any measure, Melania's immigration circumstances stink to high heaven.
Furthermore, when Trump was confronted by Melania's apparent malfeasance during the 2016 campaign, he promised that he would soon hold a press conference about the matter.
Not surprisingly, Trump's skills as a "bullshit artist" and "flim-flam man" --- a P.T. Barnum showman who can steal a news cycle "at the drop of a hat," or ensure that his "daily dump" pre-empts all previous Shitstorm fallout --- enable him to get away with any damn thing because his neverending turd torrent has us all "running for shelter" while trying to "keep our airways clear."

Surely, the Democratic Party can use its connections to resurrect the issue of Melania's very funky immigration grift.
Even if Trump does not hold a press conference (or perhaps I should say especially if Trump does NOT hold a press conference) the mainstream media (as well as Biden's own campaign communication staff) can continually reference the issue, linking their references to a dedicated webpage called something like "MelaniaCheatsAmerica.com".
Similarly, I think it's generally a good idea for Biden to go into the debates, fully prepared to re-frame any question asked of him.
For example, if Biden is asked a question about some aspect of Trump's shady behavior, or even if he gets a question alleging his own shady behavior (perhaps in Ukraine), Joe should be ready to retort with something like this: "Well those Ukranian allegations about me are as bogus as Trump's assurance that he would release his tax reports. Just as important as Melania's malfeasance is the wide-open question of what role Trump might have played in Melania's application for citizenship, despite Melania's illegal -- and disqualifying -- behavior in 1996. (I wonder if Michael Cohen knows anything about this...)
I'm not saying Melania's guilt has been proven beyond reasonable doubt.
But there is such a "bad smell" surrounding her nude modeling in the mid-'90s that Trump owes the American people the press conference he promised them 2016.
Or, if Trump is not forthcoming, the White House Press Corps should at least rub his nose in the once a day.
A strategic advantage of resurrecting this issue now (or better yet a month from now) is that Trump won't have time to put the matter to rest (even if it can be put to rest) so that Americans go to the polling place with this very malodorous scandal fresh in their minds.

It is also notable that Trump promised a press conference about Melania's shadines, while simultaneously bamboozling Americans about birtherism and his supposed commitment to revealing his tax reports.
Why is it that the mainstream press gives Trump's lies and deceptions as much free press as Trump wants, but rarely holds his feet to the fire? (And ironically, it is Fox News' Christ Wallance who applies the heat.)
Even though Mr. Trump is completely untrustworthy -- having told over 20,000 lies during his three and a half years in office -- he owes the American people some of John McCain's "straight talk" about Melania's immigration irregularities.
