Armageddon Cheerleaders Are Unusually Influential In Right-Wing Politics

Alan: At bedrock, the Republican rank-and-file have nothing – absolutely nothing – except their bogus belief that belligerence and repressive violence solve problems.

The longer I live, the more I think this essentially violent, murderous belief is based on orthodox Christianity‘s view of hell as a place of relentless, eternal torment ordained by God himself.

I understand that there are many theological subtleties that ultimately argue against this simple view.

However this simple view is where most Christians live.
