I have not been able to watch this video yet.
I know it will make me want to puke
Police brutality and "police bloodlust for mayhem and murder, have exceeded all bounds.
Surely we can do a better job profiling candidates for "the police-hood” by mandating enlightened prerequisites, along with deep inquiry into candidates’ backgrounds, and deliberately recruiting people who have already been trained in peace-and-justice issues, as well as "courting" candidates with collegiate majors in areas such as psychology, religious studies, sociology, political science and literature.
Make it a felony for "good cops" NOT to report "bad cops." If a good cop knows -- clearly -- that he will lose his job and be branded as a felon for the rest of his life is s/he doesn't report malfeasance by bad cops, good cops will start "ratting" on their suckhole fellow cops faster than you can say "Trump sucks."
If proper pre-requisites were in place - coupled with proper punishments - the entire nature of American police enforcement could be transfigured in as little as 10 to 20 years.
Lately, Trump has been talking about enabling parents to select their public school principals. Perhaps we should consider enabling all churches and communities of color to have a central role in the selection of police candidates.
Yesterday, while editing a physician friend's autobiography, I learned that Australia requires that every person who works with children secure a "hurdle-laden" "blue card".
